Fireflies and Moonlight
A new post for a new short story, Fireflies and Moonlight is being released. I wrote this story at my then boyfriend and now husband's shared homestay in Culver City. The whole piece was completed in three days. Though this version wasn't authentic unlike my relationship which was quite real. I kept trying to make this song sing like a drunken sailor on a foggy beach but thats not me, that's not this story. That's not how I see love.
Stepping away from it, I ventured back to the city, to San Francisco for a family visit with two lovely souls, Terrance and Janel. Tea, champagne, and rain. I needed it. Cleansed, & baptized in inspiration and partially fueled by Bowie, and Earl Grey tea, I flew on glittering wings. Then the fireflies came in flickering greens and fluttering blues. I had finally found honesty whispering under the ivy like Kate Bush and wild as the wind like Bowie. Plus after three attempts my fantastically editor, Leia gave it a thumbs up. So here comes the latest addition of words and sentiment.
Songs to Listen:
David Bowie: Wild as the Wind (this version in particular)
